BIO

Dr. Beatriz Manzor Mitrzyk is an Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy. She was hired through the University of Michigan Office of the Provost’s Anti-Racism Hiring Initiative. She conducts qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods research with a community of Latinx adults with mental disorders and other chronic disease. Using a community based participatory research approach, her team develops, assesses, and implements culturally tailored interventions. She strongly advocates for Spanish speakers and access to language concordant medication information across the continuum of care. Dr. Manzor Mitrzyk is also a clinical pharmacist at the Community Health and Social Services Center (CHASS) of Detroit, MI and provides culturally adapted, language concordant collaborative drug therapy management to patients with diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and polypharmacy.
